Performance light on?

The yellow performance indicator light is not turning off on my Hoover Mach 3.3 vacuum cleaner. I have changed both of the filters and the bag, adjusted them two times, turned the vacuum cleaner on without all of that in there to see if it would clean it out, and still it remains on. The roller is spinning, it appears to be working otherwise, though I can't figure out if it is still actually vacuuming. What are the reasons this light would be staying on, and do you think I can fix it myself?
