washer dryer motor?

Hi,
Wondering if anybody could spare me a bit of your valuable time to help with an issue with my washer/dryer.
Have an E30 error on my hotpoint wd71s and after replacing the brushes the motor still will not work. Am I missing something simple or is it as I fear the motor is knackered.
Couple of months ago I had to replace the drain pump as it would not take water away and shortly after this the fuse in the mains plug needed replacing too. I am thinking of biting the bullet and getting a new one as this one is about eight years old but till recently has been fine. Just wondering if anybody has any thoughts, was wondering if the motor itself has a fuse which may have blown.
