Hoover vhc 180 doesn't run without switch held in?
The only way I can keep my Hoover vhc 180 tumble dryer running is to wedge a bit of card in the on/off switch. Simple I thought, replace the switch and it will be fine. Unfortunately this hasn't cured the problem, one new switch and the problem is still there. Any help would be greatly appreciated, many thanks in advance.
before you replace the relay.do you know anyone who has a soldering iron?if you do, resolder the pins on the relay to the pcb, quite often the joints fail and a simple resolder does the trick .

there is a small circuit board fitted to the shell near the on/off switch - you need to replace this (the relay on the board has failed)
