I have just had the same problem with mine.
According too Hotpoint there is no filter, but there is!
The rubber hose that connects the drum to the pump. Houses a strainer type filter, its a bit tricky to get in and clean it. There is a small ball inside that acts as a seal (you don,t want to loss this!!)
While cleaning, it is worth cleaning the pump as I found mine to contain debris that had gat passed the filter.
If it gets blocked water will pour out of the draw during the drain spin.
