How to fix Candy go282 w?

Only wanted to check limescale buildup on element as washing machine quite often stops mid wash and flashes the lights 3 times, was told it could be buildup of limescale on element so did check but wasn't much on it. Cleaned it anyway but still problem persists along with going on to a different cycle than the one selected so it must have a few problems :-(

pointless disturbing the element,just to check for limescale.if the element has faild then yes.do you live in a hard water area?.take a look at the element in your electric kettle.if you are concerned about lime scale issues fit a filter to the cold feed pipe on the washer,or simply buy the hard water tablets to add to your wash.
