How to adjust pilot light?

I have an old Canon Gas Miser fire.The pilot light is too high and needs to be adjusted. Can it be done and if so how?

There should be an adjusting screw in the pipework. If you can find it, it is a simple matter to adjust, with a screwdriver. If left, it will make the thermocouple burn out prematurely.
