Mend Thorn Apollo 15/30B Heating Gas Valve Thermostat

Thorn Apollo 15/30B?

The problem is the boiler has gone out. When I tried to re-light it i have done the following as advised by the instructions. Held the gas valve in for 20 seconds, it has lighted then I turned on the electric and thermosat to high - when I release the gas valve the flame just goes out without firing up. Can any one advise me what the problem is and how to solve it. Thanks

either the thermocouple has failed or the pilot needs cleaning, get a service on the boiler! if it needs thermocouple it can be fitted at the same time.

You need a gas safe eng to look at it, should be straight forward job
