how can I fix my chainsaw?

Ron,
I am not sure of my model #, but my small McCullough stopped oiling the first season. The problem was the drive gear for the oil pump was not secured to the crankshaft; accessible after removal of the flywheel. I slightly peened the crankshaft surface where the gear slides on, then applied "Loctite". It appears to be reasonably permanent, as it is still oiling after 2- 3 seasons. Hope this helps.
