My Kenwood flip front will not work and I think it is the electrical strip?

ok, yes you could be rite, the strip is the most common cause, but , you need to very very carefull taking these radios apart, if the panel does not turn at all then it must be the strip, but if the unit is trying to turn open and is not it could be the small motor over heating or burned out in side and cause other problems, is there any burning smelly from the unit, if yes then you have a smally power supply fault on the main borad as well , you need to phone a car radio repair company or kenwood direct to get the parts, if it is the ribbon then it can be quite hard to fit, ribbon caost about £15.00
