nissan vanette startermotor?

i have just bought a 1999 nissan vanette . when i got home it didnt start again. i phoned the chap and he said its the startermotor wire it comes off sometimes. but i dont know where startermotor is . can someone please help me

At the back of the engine by the joint with the gearbox, if you follow the thick red wire from the battery you will find the starter motor
