Mend Hoover VHC180 Dryer Stays

My Hoover VHC180 condensor dryer just hums/buzzes at me when I switch it on?

Is this a fault relatively easy to fix, the machine stays switched on, the drum doesn't turn and there is no smoke or bad burning smell coming from it..can anyone help?

Have managed to jump start the drum each time by pulling on it to start it rolling, but can't keep doing that each time the machine wants to roll in each direction
