Heater taking to long to heat car,VW Golf?

I drive a 2005 mk 5 VW golf the problem is that what ever setting i choose E-con on or off the heater is blowing out cold air even when engine at normal running temp and fan seems to be running O.k but not blowing out as fast as before,it is also very slow at clearing windscreen would normally clear in 2 mins now takes 10-15 and winter not even here yet,anyone any ideas.
