Firstly you equip youself with the right tools, then you learn how to do minor regular repair proceedures, then you buy a Haynes manual, then take the old belt off and put a new one on, making sure the direction arrow is pointing the right way, and that the tension is correct and most importantly that the timing is correct. WARNING: if this proceedure is not done correctly, then your engine is history.
