how to changhe ldv 400 fuel filter 2.4td?

turn the black collar anti clock to release filter,you may have to un plug the water sensor on the bottom of filter,filter should pull down,when fitting new filter would fill with clean diesel and take note of the three square locating indents on the collar of the filter,feel up into the filter housing and you will feel the recesses for these,you know when it is correctly fitted when the locking collar clicks into place,refit water sensor and if you have filled with diesel you should have no problems with drawing air,good luck

hi craig ,you're ldv filter is refered to as a canister type filter,very easy to change and should be changed annually due to the fact of the paper filtration element degrades which causes blockages.iam all for the have a go man ,especially in this present climate .after fitment of you're new filter you will have to bleed and prime the fuel system .(remove all air)two ways to go with this,either invest in a haynes workshop manual ,in there you will find easy to follow step by step instructions on how to replace filter inspection of canister seal ,and most lmportantly bleeding and primeing.or you could purchase a filter for around 20=25 quid and let a garage fit it for the price of half hour labour. gud luck
