Mend Renault Traffic Flashing Problem Start

Renault Traffic flashing stop light?

I have a traffic van 2003.
The problem I have is occasionally the stop light stays on flashing, so it wont start.
If I wait a while it normally corrects itself.
Ive changed the battery as the light was on to say there was a problem with it, but it still happens..
