Mend Renault FV43 Glow Plug Van

Renault master Glow plug light comes on at 2400 revs?

I have 2005 Renault master van. When I am driving the glow plug light comes on and the engine won't rev above 2400 revs. I drove the van 700 miles like this without any problems? Does anyone know what the likely causes are for this?
