Our Kitchenaid stand mixer KP2671XNV will not turn on. I'm not sure if it is the speed control board or the motor that is the problem. Power is getting to the board and when the speed control lever is moved to turn the unit on, I get power through the "motor 1" wire but none through the "motor 2" wire. Would this mean the board is bad? Is there a way to jumper the motor to see if it will turn on?
I figured it out. There is a thermal fuse inside the motor that blew. I Also found that the Communicator is very scoured so I ended up replacing the entire motor.
