Mend Sears Model Needed Time

29cc Sears 4 cycle trimmer latest model?

Just got a new trimmer and I needed to add oil for the first time to use said 3 oz's of 30 weight oil. I filled it to just below the plug and started it after adding gas. Oil came out from carb all white and foamy. Did I ruin It?
