Mend Fisher and Paykel GL11 Washer Spin Agitate Water Cycle

Fisher and Paykel GL11 washer wont spin?

The washer will agitate and drains most of the water but wont run the spin cycle. It beeps and then eventually shuts off. I can turn it back on and it will go through all the other cycles but not spin. It also kind of smell like something is burning.

Thanks for your reply. I pulled the pump out and there wasn't anything in there to block it. It seemed to be fine. Is there any way to tell if it's going bad?

It has to drain all of the water before it can spin. Check how fast the water is coming out of the drain hose when it is emptying. If too slow it will take too long and control board will start beeping to tell you there is a problem. If pump is running slow it will get hot & smell like burning. There may be something inside the pump slowing it down or the pump itself may be on the way out. Do not run it too long if it is getting hot as it can burn out completely and may even damage the main control board as well.
