Hi, in response to my previous question, i have now bought a vauxhall cd-r 500 and as promised it has simply slotted in and lit up, although it says its in safe mode and it wont turn on, i have the code for this, but unsure how to enter the code ....second to this, when i took out and put out the old tape player that also came up as safe mode, can anyone tell me how to enter the code into the new player and get it out of safe mode please..

many thanks for all your help with both my questions, 1. the correct cd player for my 2000 plate corsa, i bought the one you suggested and its an ideal fit..
2. For helping me earlier to get said cd player out of safe mode, i took your advice and followed your steps word for word, and within 30 seconds i now have a fully working CD player...many thanks to you for all your help, i really am very grateful to you.

1 switch on the ignition
2 switch off radio button
3 press and hold AS button and switch back on
Display shows code ----
4 Enter the code for the radio by pressing buttons 1,2,3 & 4 to increase the digits
5 When correct code is displayed, press AS until a roger bleep is heard.
This works if the radio shows SAFE or PANEL.
