I have just purchsed a used Siemens VDO CDR 500 for my Vauxhall Corsa V reg, which has a CR 300 radio fitted as original.
Although it appears to be a direct change over, the radio and cd player both seem to work O.K there is no longer any information as to which station or track displayed, what do I need to do to correct this?
push button 3 + 5 and then turn on th radio. then it will change from 10. display to 8. display. This should be ready to run!!

This happened to me in my Corsa W reg. In the end, I took it to the Vauxhal dealership in my town and they sorted it for me. It was something to do with the amount of characters the display can support - the 300 has 8, and i think it was the 500 that can support ten.
