burglar alarm keypad stopped allowing me to key in some of my code and the ?

my scantronic burglar alarm keypad is not allowing me
to key in some of my code with the result my alarm
will not go off the keypad is probably 20years old

sounds like the electrical pads surface has worn on your key pad,try changing your pin number to exclude the worn numbers ,and change the battery.
