tv does'nt turn on?

i have a jvc 32" widescreen tv
the tv just turned off and stayed on standby now it will not turn on just the red standby light is on.

Hi Mark,

Make sure that the TV itself is not programmed on a sleep timer. You may find this on the remote control, as some tv's can be set to turn off themselv'e by programming the sleep timer.
