can i buy a second hand crankshaft?

i have just been told my bike needs a new crank shaft but i cant use second hand one any advice

whats wrong with your one? as you dont say what bike it is cant really say, is it bent, big end worn ie. side clearance,connecting rod deflection.....tell us more.
