Mend JVC Cassette Decks Tape

How can I fix the audio cassette decks on my JVC Hifi CA-MXJ330?

The hifi is 5 years old but the tape cassette decks have only been used about 6 times at the very most. When I put audio cassettes in the machine yesterday I pressed play and the motor made a funny noise for a few seconds and the tapes did not turn and therefore would not play. When I pressed the eject button the doors would not open and I, maybe inadvisably, forced them open.
