How can I fix internal wall with small area of water damage 10cm x 10 cms?

I have a small area of internal wall that has water damage. The "wood panelling" has been wet and the veneer is flaking off. Source of wetting has been solved but what is the best way to repair damage inside caravan. To cover up or to replace? Only a small area.
