when pressing steam button too much water clothes wet through?

when pressing steam button there is too much water coming out of steam holes and over wetting clothes

i am having the same problem and i remember this happening with a previous one i had and vaguely remember having to get the water to go though the iron to descale it but cannot seem to find my instructions to find out how so if anyone can help ?
