Mend Smeg DW1614 Dishwasher Broken

SMEG DW1614 Integrated top door latch is broken ?

I cannot close the door of the DW. The catch/latch at the top seems to be in the closed position allowing the dishwasher to run its cycle while the door remains open. Please can you help??
