My Smeg dishwasher won't let me choose the program !?

Hi ! I have a smeg PLA6145X dishwasher.
When I turn the machine on, it beeps, the 2 right leds (P and start/pause) start flashing, but when I press P to select a program, nothing happens, as if the door wasn't closed. I tested the door lock and it seems ok, though.
This started happening after I accidently short-circuited the appliance. I was replacing a plastic button transfer which had broken behind the PCB but I forgot to switch the power off (silly me). I have already installed a new PCB cause I thought it had fried because of the short circuit, but it seems that's not it...
