How can I fix my BellSouth phone (HAC VC 8867 RT) caller ID display?

The phone works fine except for not displaying Caller ID information.
I tried new batteries. Every other phone in the house shows the display.

From www.uselectronics.info FAQs for this phone: First thing that should be attempted would be contacting your local Phone Company. Just to make sure that there is not an interruption in the service. If the Phone Company is sending the signal but the name and number are not coming up, double-check the connection. The phone line from the wall jack should be connected to the caller ID labeled LINE or PHONE LINE. The phone line from the caller ID labeled TEL LINE should be connected to the phone or answering machine. If everything is connected correctly and the Phone Company is sending the signal but the name and number are not being displayed, the reset procedures should be attempted. If reset has already been attempted, then the unit should be returned to the service center for replacement. If you have the receipt dated within the last 13 months, send the entire unit with a copy of the receipt to the service center. If you do not have a receipt appropriate fees will apply.

This answer is for Edlyn about how to program the memory keys (I copied this from my BellSouth Quick Instruction):
1. Press the STORE button. "Pro" (short for programming) appears on the LCD Screen.
2. Dial the number you want to store.
3. Press one of the 14 one-touch SPEED-DIAL buttons (M1-M14).
4. The stored number and the location will be shown in the LCD screen.
5. Press the STORE button or wait 3 seconds to resume normal display.
6. Repeat steps 1-5 to store numbers into other memory locations.

Try calling this number (located on back of phone) 1-800-338-1694. They also have a website with FAQs that may help - www.uselectronics.info. See if that helps. I'm trying to get instructions on how to program the memory keys. If anyone has instructions, I would appreciate info. Thanks.
