and one thing about gts mr anchor,i will tell you like it is,i dont get dosh from manufac,to praise their products,i go with years of exp in this game,i know what works,and what dosent.we bench test all new panels on market,and i can tell you this,i would not go by scantronic,just have a lok at the panels on here in past posts,how many are veritas?

Hi GTS, I agree with you, I cant stand the Veritas, or any of Texecom products, I stay well clear, To many issues, I wont use the Premier, it looks cheap ish, keypad isnt all that. At least with Scantronic you know your buying the best available panels, Tried and Tested for many years, I fit the Risco Iwise Quad detectors, have the odd issue with the on board resistor links but it is rare, just swap for normal resistors and problem is solved,

i dont acorn,we still use their vibes now they got em sorted out,i just got very annoyed at their attitude,promised to tell us what was wrong with the new panel,(turned out a sftware prob)did not do us much good with the customer screaming down the fone,was lucky one of our guys was ten mins away,he replaced it with a scanny ,what the manufactures seem to forget,its our comp rep thats on the line,not theirs,how many times have you fitted equip.that was faulty?you bring it back to suppliers,to get told,sorry about that,no mention of compo,for your guys time and wasted fuel,at least with scantronic,i contact them and they give me compo,i.e.free panel,better than nothing mate

Well, I remember the huge problems with the Ademco IR650s, we had hundreds fitted, all started going wrong (F/As galore) about 12 to 18 months after fitting. Proved to be a faulty component, ALL had to be replaced, what a nightmare.

Ok. I understand your feelings/problem but it's not right to tarnish the entire equipment range. An unfortunate experience I know.

How come all the car manufacturers survive with all their re-calls over the years? Ademco had problems with the PIRs, didn't do their reputation much good but they got over it. We still used their equipment for years after.

and its not the money,its the damage it did to my company rep with 3 members of the same family ,all where going to use us for their alarms,but when their dads packed up they canceld their orders,and who could blame them,

tell you why mate,i fitted a few of their vibe detectors,they all failed we lost £1000. in sales because of them,they gave me £1000.in batteries,pirs,vibe detects,
bell boxes,and their super new panel,the super panel failed after two days,the vibe detectors(box of 25) failed too,now,tell me acorn,would you really rec.them to your customers?i asked the manufactures to let me know what was up with the new panel,they did not,so me old nut,you can use them if you like,but,not this kid,(the vibes they changed the relay that was mechanical,to an electronic switch,but got it wrong)

well pete,buy a better alarm panel,try a scantronic.at least it will work,veritas cheap,and scantronic it will tell you where the fault is,
