Mend AEG L12501VI Washing Machine Pressed

how can i fix my AEG L12501VI washing machine?

Hi,my AEG L12501VI washing machine has a "start/pause" button to activate the machine,but when pressed it now just flashes the green "led" but does not start the machine.All other buttons seem to work i;e,spin speed button when pressed changes the speed etc>any help please?,tried the door closure etc.
