Mend Key Stuck Side

upvc door lock key stuck (removed screw already)?

I have a upvc door and the door is open but the key is stuck in the lock. I have taken off the handle and taken out the screw that is on the side of the door but still the barrel will not come out. A locksmith friend who used to live near got it out before but i dont know what he did. Help!!

hi provided youve removed the correct long screw on the door edge turn the key to roughly 1 and 7 or 5 and 8 if you were looking at a clock and jiggle the key as you pull,this usually works,good luck.
