Mend Hotpoint WT540 Lights Showing Machine

Why are there two lights showing on my washing machine?

I have a Hotpoint Aquarius WT540 washing machine which is now showing two red lights at position 2 (reduced creases) and position 5 (Extra rinse). I tried washing a small amount of clothes last night and it appeared to work - any ideas what these lights mean?
