Hi, I have a miele dishwasher and the bottom arm has stopped spinning, the arm rotates when you spin it by hand and the holes are not blocked, the other two arms are working O.K. It seems that the water is not being pumped into the bottom arm.
any ideas.

Just solved it. A little black and pink solenoid attached to one of the pipes in the base of the unit was stuck. Unscrewed it and gave it a clean. Checked the connectors were ok and put it back all seems to work again. The solenoid traps another ball valve I guess that's what gets activated when you do a top tray only wash

I have had exactly the same problem with LG dishwasher. After looking into it further there is a mechanism below the bottom spray arm that switches to select whether water is pumped to the top or bottom tray (only one is run at a time.) Throughout the wash cycle the mechanism is not switching to send water to the bottom tray. Even when bottom tray wash is selected, is still running the top tray. Haven't yet go to the solution.
