Mend John Deere LA105 Lawn Mower No Start Engine

John Deere LA105 mower will not start?

My mower will not start. Engine turns over, and over and over, not starting. Replaced fuel filter and spark plug, even bypassed fuel filter. Any suggestions?

had similar problem. turned out that valve in carb was stuck so it was always in "choke" position. Problem evidently attributable to briggs and Stratton using a plastic valve instead of metal. Mine was fixed by removing valve and sanding smooth stem that had been scratched. Started up as before once this was done.
