how can i get my car stereo screen to work again?

Hello
I have a wharfedale wh-180 car stereo and it works fine apart from the display. Firstly the backlight stopped working but the information on the screen was still visible but now it has gone off altogether. All buttons still work and light up and radio, bluetooth, cd etc all plays as normal just now I cannot see anything on it.
Is there a way I can get this working again or has something burned out?
