Fitting a Sony CD player in my 2003 Peugeot 206?

Hello, i have bought a new sony cdx-s22 cd player for my peugeot 206 and it works fine. However the memory disconnects automatically after 5 minutes of the car being locked, in which i mean the cd player resets to normal functions and any saved radio stations are not saved. Also when i take the key out of my ignition, the cd player continues playing and does not stop, unless i take the facia off....

Does any one have similar problems with their peugeot 206 and why wont any other cd players apart from the original 206 player work? Any ideas ofhow to overcome this problems?

I have same problem, iv changed the red and yellow wires over memory fine but When i take the key out of my ignition, the cd player continues playing and I lock the.doors and it stops after 2mins why that?

I have a similar problem...the memory wont store radio stations...Any ideas please

Hey i need some help along this line, iv got a 206 and a sony cd player, everytime i take the key out it resets. Also i cannot switch the cd player on without the key turned. which is annoying. Any ideas.

I had the same problem with my radio, did what Simon suggested and it works perfectly! You have to give the wires a good old yank to remove them from the box they're fitted into, but works a treat.

hi the main power and the remote (ignition off power) are the wrong way round these are usually red and yellow wires they need to be switched around. hope that helps
