can i fix my liteon dda-110 recorder?

hi
i have a liteon DDA-10 recorder which will not operate via the remote control. the on /off button and the open / close button will operate manually on the front off the set. there is an orange light which is illuminated on the front of the set which appears to indicate the timer function? could the set be stuck in timer mode and if so can this be reset?
i would be grateful for any help with this problem
