my dvd will not work?

when i turn on my LiteOn dvd i get no signal to the tv but the dvd starts to play straight away. I can not get anything on tv screen so can not alter any settings. LiteOn LVW5005

How's it connected to the TV David? Scart lead ...... try another lead or give both ends a wiggle. Make sure the TV is set to the correct channel ie AV1 / AV2. RF lead .... give both ends a wiggle and make sure the TV is tuned into the DVD channel ie Ch 35 or whatever it says in the manual.
