Ho do I fix the self propel on my lawn mower?

When I engage the handle on my self propel lawn mower it does not work,How do I fix the self propel lawn mower? I have a troybilt mower 675 series

It's normally due to a stretched cable adjust and try again.
If not look underneath and see if the drive belt has come off or broken if all is OK then it could be the main gear box (very expensive)?
