my washing machine stopped working after not using it for 4 months. Any tip?

the hoover top loader washing machine stopped working after not using it for 4 months. its connected to electricity and water.any help?

a1004 top loader,havent seen one of those in years,fixed dozens of them when i worked for hoover,
check the door switch,it wont be the motor as it aint a reaction brush gear motor,you dont say whats not working,
