Inlet hose leaking? Dishlex Global 450 Dishwasher ?

The inlet pipe is leaking where its attached to the ball valve. The leak is from the inlet pipe connector. I've tried putting a new washer in and tightening it up but it keeps leaking. Do I need to replace the inlet pipe or is there some other way of stopping the leak? I'm thinking the inlet pipe is worn out as the dishwasher is about 13 years old.
