Mend Hotpoint DW30P/29 Help Me Dishwasher

HELP me fix my dishwasher!!!!?

I have a Hotpoint Aquarius DW30P/29 Dishwasher which has been working fine until I moved it and had to buy a new inlet hose as the original wouldn't reach. Since fitting the new hose which is different to old hose the dishwasher is not filling and won't start it's cycle, any advice on why it isn't working as the plumbing shop told me it would.

tap is on, hose is new! could it be a blockage past the inlet in the machine somewhere? I seem to remember on the old hose there was some sort of pressure valve in the end of the hose, could that be anything to do with it?

Have you checked that the tap is turned on fully? Changing the inlet hose will not stop the water coming in unless there is a blockage in the hose or tap is off.
