broken handle hotpoint t940 ?

hi, had same problem last week ! take top off washer , make sure its unpluged , there are 2 screws at rear of top , then slide top off look down inside where the catch is and you will see the point of the metel catch move that towards the drum with a screw driver and door will open , order new handel of hotpoint about £21.00 , if you look on you tube it sh=ows you how , best of luck , rich.
