Scantronic 9000 series just powered off. Any help welcome?

Had an engineer who checked the battery, power, etc. and concluded the panel had died and we needed a new one - he recommended Scantronic 9651 to replace the old one.
Many thanks to all of you guys who tried to help. I felt it was quite complicated for me to handle.

E is the engineering prog,how did you get it on that?it could be the standby battery,but you need special tester to check it,no,a test meter wont do!get yourself a new 7 amp battery,check the mains power going into the panel via the spur,next check any fuses in the panel,with a test meter,just looking at them wont do,then get back to us

Ah, but what lights were showing? They tell a story also.

Keypad said 2 and 4 and E before it died completely. These were the pir nos.that would normally be shown as activated.
