Mend Snapper LT140H38BBV Remove Fan Mower

How do I remove the fan on a LT140H38BBV Snapper mower?

i just bought a Snapper LT140H38BBV with the Hydro static drive and all of the fins are broke off the fan that is attached to the main pulley (in the back under the battery). i can't seem to get the nut off that's holding the pulley in place to get to the fan. Any suggestions??
