Mend Hotpoint WM83 Water Washing Supply

My Hotpoint WM83 fills with water when not in use?

The washing machine slowly fills with water when not in use. Turning off the elec. supply makes no difference. I suspect there is a pressure switch or level indicator somewhere that is not working. Any ideas?
