Mend Change Work Replaced

fixing light socket?

I went to change a light bulb in a ceiling socket and it doesn't work anymore. we have replaced the socket and fed all the wires correctly into it but still the light does not work, what could be the problem? Thank you

well,its not called a light socket,its a light pendant,
if it was ok before you removed it,then providing the new bulb is ok,the switch is ok,then you have made a mess of the wiring,i assume that you have check the circuit breaker???
