why does my renault megane key fob keep getting through batterys?

i have to keep replacing the battery in my renault megane key fob i am constantly stressed that when i get back to my car i will not be able to get home or collect my children from school etc as the fob battery has ran down yet again its costing a fortune in battery please someone help me
